White powdery deposits (efflorescence)
Salts carried out by moving water. Proof that water is passing through the wall, not sitting on it.
Water seeping at the wall-floor junction
The construction joint. The most common leak path in any basement and the hardest one to fix from inside.
Musty smell and mould on stored items
