What You Are Probably Seeing
Leakage shows up somewhere other than where it starts. These are the signs we look for — and what each one usually means.
Damp walls that never fully dry
Capillary rise through the structure. A surface coating alone will blister off within months.
White powdery deposits (efflorescence)
Salts carried out by moving water. Proof that water is passing through the wall, not sitting on it.
Water seeping at the wall-floor junction
The construction joint. The most common leak path in any basement and the hardest one to fix from inside.
Musty smell and mould on stored items
Sustained high humidity. A structural moisture problem, not a ventilation problem.

Establish which side we can work from
Positive-side (external) treatment is always stronger. Where excavation is impossible, we specify systems that perform against negative-side pressure.
